What BDI is all About
Beads, Beaded Jewelry & Beaded Objects
Established in 1986, Beadesigner International (BDI) is a non-profit organization, devoted to the art, craft, and history of beads and all things made with beads. Our membership consists of bead makers, jewelry designers, collectors, shop owners and generally anyone with an interest in this area of art.
Members work with glass, wire, polymer clay, precious metal clay, fiber and other materials, fabricating objects for personal use and sale. Our goal is to foster a fellowship through the exchange of knowledge and ideas and to share our passion with the public.
BDI has a strong commitment to supporting the interests of our membership through monthly programs featuring local and national artists, historians, educators and others. We sponsor workshops several times a year that allow members to enhance their skills or learn new techniques in their many fields of interest.
We cordially invite guests to our meetings, where they will enjoy refreshments and an opportunity to meet fellow artists and craft enthusiasts.
A brief open business meeting for members is followed by a lecture, slide show or demonstration by a featured speaker.
Guests pay $5.00 to attend a meeting; however, within one month of the meeting, this fee can be credited to annual membership.
