Kabela Design will be presenting a bead challenge! They will pass out Kabela pieces, which will include a focal bead or ornament, chain and findings. Members should bring their own tools and any beads, fibers, seed beads etc. they would like to use to create a piece. Participants will be given 30-45 minutes to create a project. Finished work will be judged in two categories: Best Beaded Piece and Most Unique Piece. Winners will receive a $25.00 gift certificate. Kabela will also be selling their line of findings and beads at the meeting, with a 20% one-time discount to Bead Society members.

Remember that you will only be given 30-45 minutes to work on your creation, so if you wish to assemble anything in advance, feel free to bring it with you it to incorporate with supplies given.
Kabela Design was named after Beth and her husband, Tom’s first two grandchildren, Katie and Isabella. The line, started in 1904, is made in the United States from original stampings. It covers Filigree, Art Deco, and Art Nouveau. The company has also added a new designer line that is set with Swarovski crystals! Kabela offers a vintage feel with a contemporary twist!
