If you’ve been making jewelry or crafting for a while, by now your stash has probably grown in size and overtaken much more room than you originally planned to use. This may not be the case for those who are lucky enough to have an independent studio, but for the rest of us, it can be a real problem, especially if there are family members complain about giving up the dining room, or stubbing toes on beads that have dropped on the carpet.
Maybe you’ve been thinking about paring down your stash for a while now. Well, we hear you, and are here for you. It might be hard to give up some of that glitter your not using, or may never use, but BDI’s Swap and Sale may be a way to ease that pain. Now’s your chance! You are invited to join the BDI community for a Swap and Sale meeting, on Wednesday, March 21!
How this works: BDI members can set up a table for the Swap & Sale at no charge. Guests can rent a table for $25 (basically, our membership fee, which will allow you to attend workshops and the annual member’s dinner in June, which is free). You can swap/sell beads, crystals, focal… jewelry making supplies, display pieces, storage solutions, other media and tools, books and magazines….anything bead and jewelry related, including finished work – this is your de-stash opportunity.
Invite all of your crafty friends: there is no entrance fee for guests who want to buy things and are building their stash. The event will take place at the Lexington Community Center on Wed, March 21, room 230/232, 6:15- 8:45.
